This is Facet Labs. Our goal first and foremost is to cut through the smoke and mirrors of the jewelry industry to get you the perfect piece for any occasion. No cost anxiety, no shortcuts, and no compromises.

The jewelry industry has seen massive growth with the introduction of new technology that should be making beautiful and functional jewelry more accessible to everyone. Instead, it is dismissed only to uphold abhorrent labor practices and for the big moguls of the diamond industry to maintain its monopoly. I’m sure you’ve heard before that people are buying “fake” lab grown diamonds that pale in comparison to the “real” thing. The truth of the matter is that it is all just propaganda to prevent the consumer from getting a product that is just as real as a diamond extracted from the earth, down to the molecular level, for a tenth of the price; not to mention the possibility that your “real” diamond may have been sourced from an effective labor camp weighing on your conscience.

It is no secret that we are all at least somewhat attracted to the magical appeal of a brilliant shining gemstone. It is one of the most beautiful things the world has to offer. However, there is so much more out there to discover beyond a $10,000 diamond ring. Everyone lives such different lives, and there are so many stones out there that it is near impossible to not be able to find one that matches your personal tastes AND is compatible with your lifestyle. Using myself as an example, I have a unique fascination with darker stones, however I also work with my hands quite frequently, so the ones that are more brittle may not be the best choice for me for daily wear. However, black spinel is a stone that is simultaneously dark and durable. It’s also a variation of spinel that is less desirable than others, so it isn’t as expensive either. Just like me there is a perfect stone waiting for you. All it takes is a little bit of looking to find yours.
